Casting On Your Kulkulkan Hat

A HUGE thank you to everyone who joined the #KulkulkanKAL cast on party yesterday! It was so nice to connect with all of you. Even in COVID times it feels like we can get together and create community, and there is not much more that I can be extremely grateful for!

If you have yet to cast on your Kulkulkan Hat, or if you're thinking of knitting a second (or third! Or fourth!?) one, I wanted to share with you some tips on casting on hats. These are my three tips that can be applied to ANY hat bottom-up hat that begins with ribbing. In this video, I demonstrate how to do a long-tail cast on in a 1x1 rib pattern but it can easily be adjusted for 2x2, 3x3, 1x3, etc. etc. ribbing patterns!

I hope the video is helpful, feel free to reach out via email at info@emtothethirdyarn.com or Instagram @emtothethird with any questions or confusion!

And don't forget to enter for the #KulkulkanKAL by posting your finished at on IG with the hashtag! I'll be drawing winners shortly after the KAL ends on the equinox, September 22, 2020!

Talk soon!
